On Thursday May 2, 2024, New Narratives Community will have a film screening and discussion of “5 Broken Cameras”; a Palestinian documentary directed by Emad Burnat and Guy Davidi and released in 2011. A documentary recounting the difficulties of recording and narrating one’s story in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

As part of the ongoing struggle, both sides are experiencing challenges in conveying their perspectives in the midst of fervour and ongoing battle of narratives.

This venue will be an opportunity to discuss the barriers faced by both sides, hoping for a breakthrough in the flow of conversation.
